Miatas are well-known and well-loved for their neutral and predictable handling. I personally own one and love driving sliding it on track with hard tires. How exactly does one tune a Miata so that it wants to kill you on every corner exit? Apparently, this team had just added a really stiff anti-roll bar in the rear. Heavy springs, toe out, and too much rake may also have contributed.
